At the beginning of 2021, the prospect of all new versions of Windows seems impossible. Microsoft previously described Windows 10 as a “new version of Windows,” and it continues to add new features at least twice a year. However, the company broke those plans with the release of Windows 11, which went from an informal concept to an official announcement within weeks. The cancellation of Windows 10X has clouded Microsoft’s decision, but Satya Nadella and Co have been seriously considering a new desktop operating system for some time. Without assurances about Windows 11’s Lifespan, it is logical that we will see a successor at some point. It is believed that Microsoft is working on Windows 12 internally, it will only take two years. This is all we know at this early stage to Download Windows 12.

Windows 12 New Features (Expected)

Microsoft has not confirmed the existence of Windows 12 and there are no official features yet. However, based on the new builds released to Windows Insider users, especially in the Dev channel, we notice that Microsoft is testing a lot of new features and models. For example, build 25158 (July 13) brought a variety of eye treatments and job searches.
It goes without saying that Microsoft is testing a notification badge for the weather widget on the Windows 11 taskbar. Apart from that, the Redmond giant is experimenting with another nice feature where you can write down the date, time or phone number, and suggested actions that provide a quick online program to complete the task through a dedicated application.

I’m not saying that these features are coming to Windows 12, but recently Microsoft has been very open to testing new features in their Insider homes. Recently, Microsoft even said that Dev Channel Insiders “can test new ideas, long-term plans, and experiments to help validate ideas.” Of course, some features may come as part of Windows 11 (find the upcoming Windows 11 feature preview here), but others may be reserved for another release, hopefully in Windows 12. We are sure that Windows Insiders will be the first to test the new features in Windows 12.
